My wife and I started this new year, ill equipped and untrained on home defense. We talked with Mike and left well equipped (Glock 19 and Meridian Ordinance built AR15) and are now going through training classes. Every class I’ve been in since my AR15 purchase, my classmates and instructors have all gathered around and admired the build of my rifle. Yes, it cost me some money, but with great advice on quality, I will never be embarrassed or with an equipment malfunction in danger of my life. Thank you Mike for your advice and commitment to quality.
I surprised my husband with a handgun for his birthday and Meridian Ordinance made the process super smooth and easy! Plus the shop is pretty bada** with tons of unique and rare guns. Highly recommend!! 10/10. Not to mention, the owner and staff are friendly, accomondating, and very knowledgeable.
Worthy of 6 a six star rating. My recent visit to Meridian Ordinance easily surpassed all other experiences I have had in various gun stores. Mike and his team were incredibly knowledgable, patient while answering my questions, and did not at all attempt to talk me into spending more money than necessary. The store was incredibly busy when I was there, yet Mike still spent multiple hours answering my questions about guns mechanics, gun history, and pertinent legislation, among other things. All the while, I didn't see a single customer who was neglected. There are many gun stores much closer to me than Meridian, but in the future I will be making the trip to Mount Sterling any time I am in need of anything gun-related. Their services are broad, they're American to the core, and they care more about their customers than they do making a quick buck.
I had an awesome experience with Mike and Gus. They were beyond full with orders, but were able to fit me in and install bullet guides into my rifles very quickly.Both of my rifles were previously converted by a different gunsmith, and the work was not as good as it should have been. Mike spotted it immediately and was able to help with several suggestions to raise both of them to proper specs! If it's about an AK, Mike has eagle eyes and the know-how to put you on the right track, especially if you like your firearms to be accurate to Soviet and Russian versions.As soon as I have opportunity I'll be back to Meridian to get them sorted.

I recently had another outstanding experience at Meridian Ordinance in Mt. Sterling, Ky. Mike and Gus gave me an outstanding deal on a new handgun and also opened my eyes in regards to another purchase that I made in Morehead and was basically ripped off. I highly recommend Meridian Ordinance to any and all weapon enthusiasts. If you have questions about purchases that you made elsewhere, they offer free evaluations if asked. This shop is a great resource. There are few places that you can walk in and get this level of knowledge and quality of gunsmithing. Great hometown place for your firearm needs. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and everything is fairly priced. Also a bonus if you buy your parts there they will install them for free! I will be a returning customer for sure.
